Enabling Proxy-to-Server mTLS

Proxy-to-Server mTLS allows the Threat Protection proxy to authenticate itself to your backend.

Steps​

  1. In the proxy configuration, locate mTLS Proxy to Server.
  2. Toggle the setting to On.
  3. In the Add client TLS certificate section:
  4. Select the identity certificate the proxy should present from the dropdown options, and click Add.

Result​

  • The proxy now presents the selected certificate during TLS handshakes with the origin server.
